My relationship with holistic health and natural skincare started almost 25 years ago when I started developing physical ailments and skin problems not to mention the stress, anxiety and low productivity levels. Having been to pre-med school, I already knew it wasn’t medicine I was looking for, I started with yoga and meditation that took care of most major concerns but I knew my body and skin needed a lot more than that!
Driven by my passion for nature and armed with a diploma in skincare and a great love for Bach Flower Remedies, I started looking for natural remedies to address my skin issues. Extremely concerned by the numerous studies and research that shed light on the harmful chemicals existing in products, I discovered that as important as it was to eat right, it was extremely imperative to be mindful of what one applies on their skin as it all goes directly into the blood stream.
I therefore, decided to make my own skin products using the finest sustainably sourced, organically grown wild active natural plant oils, butters, essential oils etc. Sourcing truly natural and organic products was a challenging struggle initially, but these natural formulations far excelled and out performed even the most expensive products I had ever used. I further honed my skills in Skincare Formulation, UK and after four years of extensive research on developing the perfect skin formulas and undergoing extensive trials on friends & family, I created my line of pure, natural skincare products - Just B Au Naturel.
Determined to leave this world a beautiful place for future generations, I believe, I will be a lifelong learner and with all this in the background, I want to bring the goodness, purity and magic of nature to everyone who wants to get closer to a holistic and healthy lifestyle. Anyone whose talked with me knows I prefer informal to formal. Writing a profile usually involves listing what one has accomplished who I've worked for and what my specialty is! Although I am proud of my accomplishments, the companies and the people I've worked with, to me they do not define who I am. However, for those of you who relish in formality, with a Masters degree and over 9 years of experience, I have worked with a variety of organizations for profit and not for profit.
I believe diversity is what makes this world such an incredible place. I have worked at the United Nations on different projects starting with research on gender equality and women’s empowerment, global campaigns advocating for change, addressing social causes like HIV, food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture (UN Women, UN FAO-Food & Agriculture, UNAIDS, MDG Campaign). I then went on to head Marketing & Communication for various Luxury brands in India (Louis Vuitton Moet Henessey: Tag Heuer, Dior Watches, Emilio Pucci, Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Versace). With great public and private partnerships and having dealt with globally renowned Goodwill Ambassadors, I guess for me, it has been a mixture of doing good, looking good and now with my new business, at last feeling good!
Looking at problems, creating solutions and formulating ideas is what gets me out of bed every morning. I believe without awareness, education, action, passion will only ever be of the heart and never make a difference. Inspired by change and new experiences, with an innate passion to protect the environment and animals, I am totally moved by the transformative power of people. Driven to get the word out about meaningful and worthwhile causes, I'm an enthusiast and lover of real quantifiable - good change which should explain the ’Just B Green Initiative’ at Just B Au Naturel.
